When you are
addicted to heroin, withdrawal is then mere a part of daily life. When
you begin to feel ill you pick up your phone and call the dealer, you score,
and get well for quite sometime. During that moment nothing else matters. For
us, the so called spiritual prison called heroin addiction becomes a daily
struggle to feel normal, not high, and every day we wish we could stop but the
fear of detox keep us using. However, from the starting, our addiction
pushes us towards allowing for the withdrawal process that is referred to as
detox. Detox, by meaning, is the process of removing toxins,
in our case opiates, from the body. Even though we are detoxing from
practically the same sort of substance on both occasions, the experiences are
always quite different due to the fact that one of the detoxes occurs while we
are incarcerated. Apparently detoxing in a hospital bed for five days is
far better experience than detoxing in jail, but in both cases an experience
that we wish we had never had. Contact Alcohol Treatment South Florida to avoid
this kind of terrible situation.
